Huron County small businesses can now apply for a Digital Transformation Grant through the county's Digital Main Street Program.
Brittany Wise, manager of the Huron Business Centre with the Economic Development Department, said small business owners have six weeks to apply for the grant.
“What this program does is provide qualifying brick and mortar small businesses with up to $2500 to help them adopt technology and meet digital goals," she said. "Grant applications will be accepted until September 30 of this year or until grant funds are exhausted.”
Wise added if a business has already received a grant prior to June 21, 2022 they may be eligible to receive the grant again so they encourage them to apply.
“In addition to the Digital Transformation Grant, we also have a service called the Digital Service Squad that offers free one-on-one digital transformation assistance or coaching to small businesses across Huron County and that service will be available until March 2024,” Wise said.
Members of that squad can help businesses with anything digital including social media, websites, they can do an online audit and even do 360 degree virtual photos of your business.
