Georgian Bluffs looks for input for 2024 budget

The Township of Georgian Bluffs is launching a community involvement effort for the forthcoming 2024 Budget.

The Township is seeking feedback to help guide resource allocation and funding objectives for the upcoming fiscal year.

The annual budget serves as a road map for implementing the services, facilities, and initiatives that improve the quality of life for community members. The Township hopes the feedback will ensure the 2024 Budget fairly reflects the needs and objectives of the community.

"Your insights will play an important role in shaping the path ahead for Georgian Bluffs while prioritizing the needs and wants of our residents," says Samantha Buchanan, Treasurer. "In collaboration, we will craft a budget that resonates with the community, propelling Georgian Bluffs towards a future that truly reflects our values.”

The survey will ask for opinions on current services, and how they could be updated. The survey will also help council pinpoint any areas that might require change to improve quality of life, and which services residents want increased or decreased.

People can find more information and the survey at the 2024 Budget hub on Engage GB. Or there will be paper copies of the survey available at the Township Administration building, Shallow Lake Community Center, Derby Community Center and Kemble Community Center.

There will also be in-person public engagement session on August 24 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Grey Roots Museum. This session offers an opportunity to join fellow community members in sharing ideas and perspectives on budget priorities, as well as other Township initiatives.
