The number of homes sold by realtors in Grey Bruce Owen Sound totaled 241 units in July, up by 69.7 per cent from July 2022.
The dollar value of all home sales in July 2023 was $145.9 million, up sharply by 60.4 per cent from the same month in 2022.
So far this year, 1,550 homes have changed hands, which is a slight drop of two per cent over the first seven months of 2022.
The MLS Home Price Index overall composite benchmark price was $572,200 in July 2023, falling by 7.6 per cent compared to July 2022. The year-to-date average price was $637,599, dropping 12.2 per cent from the first seven months of 2022.
There were 412 new listings added in July, down seven per cent from last year. Active residential listings numbered 1,170 units on the market at the end of July, a moderate gain of 7.5 per cent from the end of July 2022.
