Stratford Police say a 15-year-old girl died by drowning near St Marys over the weekend.
Emergency services were called to Wildwood Conservation Area on Sunday.
Police say fire, park staff, paramedics and bystanders performed CPR on the individual, who was rushed to St. Marys hospital.
Though all life saving measures were taken by medical staff, the girl passed away.
Police say the name of the deceased will not be released out of respect for the family. They also encourage anyone who witnessed or has been affected by the tragedy to contact Victim Services at 1-866-376-9852 for support and resources.
