The South Bruce Grey Health Centre is warning that one of its hospitals will experience multiple emergency department closures in a week.
The SBGHC says that the Durham emergency department will close Tuesday, August 1 at 5 p.m., and will reopen on Wednesday, August 2 at 7 a.m.
The Durham ED will close yet again on Friday, August 4 at 5 p.m. and won't reopen until Sunday, August 6 at 7 p.m.
Finally, the Durham ED will close yet again on Tuesday, August 8 at 5 a.m., reopening later that same day at 7 p.m.
The closures are due to insufficient staffing.
Ambulance by-pass has been undertaken to divert patients to the nearest open ED.
