The Huron County Museum is hosting a quilt display that honours Residential School survivors.
The exhibit, on display until September 3, features 10 quilts made with the same Journey Home fabric panel that were then individually quilted to provide hope and comfort to the survivors, who will receive the quilts at the end of the exhibit.
Miss Kettle & Stony Point Jr., Jaylynn Wolfe, and her mother Laura, initiated the project after finding the 10 panels. They approached the Kincardine Sunset Quilters Guild, who made all 10 quilts that all tell a different story.
Jaylynn will present a quilt to survivors of Residential Schools at the end of the display this fall.
The exhibit is available during regular hours at the Museum and is included with regular admission or free with a Museum membership or Huron County Library card.
