One airlifted to hospital after crash with transport truck near Paisley

A passenger was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a crash near Paisley early Wednesday afternoon.

According to Bruce County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), emergency crews responded to a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a transport truck shortly after noon on July 5.

When crews arrived at the intersection of Bruce County Road 20 and Bruce Road 1, the passenger of the vehicle was located with serious injuries. Ornge Air Ambulance was called to airlift the individual to a Hamilton hospital. The driver of the vehicle was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the truck driver reported no injuries at the scene.

The area was closed for several hours on Wednesday while police investigated and crews worked to clear the roadway.

Police say the investigation remains in its early stages. Anyone with information is asked to call Bruce County OPP.
