Town addresses water discolouration

The Town of Hanover says residents need not worry about some areas experiencing water discolouration in town.

A release from the Town of Hanover states that on June 28, repair work was completed for the water main from the treatment plant to town, followed by some system flushing and testing on the water.

Discolouration of the water in some areas of town was identified and staff are addressing the situation. That being said, the town and staff say the water is safe for consumption and regular use.

If you notice water discolouration, run your cold water to ensure it is clear prior to using appliances, such as washing machines or dishwashers.

Staff will be completing further hydrant flushing to affected areas.
