The Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run is returning to Huron County on June 7.
The run is an event to raise money for the Special Olympics Ontario.
The Huron County OPP and Special Olympics are extending the invite to the public, whether it's to lace up your shoes and join, or cheer on from the sidelines.
"The Law Enforcement Torch Run is a highlight on my calendar and I encourage you to join us to cheer on and celebrate these courageous and dedicated athletes," said Huron County OPP and Torch Run Coordinator, Russ Nesbitt.
Since the run started in Canada in 1987, it has raised over $74 million.
The run will begin at 9 a.m. at the Maitland River Community Church in Wingham. The run will go through Wingham to the south end, where participants will be driven to Blyth, Clinton, and Goderich to share the excitement.
It will wrap up with a barbeque at McGee Motors in Goderich. All donations can be made via cash or cheques made out to "Ontario Special Olympics".
Anyone wanting to participate can take a bus for free from Goderich to Wingham. Any riders are asked to meet at the Goderich Legion before the bus leaves at 8 a.m.
