The long-running Dungannon Super Pull will return this Father's Day weekend, but it will be at a new location to incorporate a growing list of events.
Since 2000, the Super Pull has been held at the Dungannon fair grounds, but organizers say it's time for a change, opting to move to the Lucknow Kinsmen's Graceland this year.
"This will be the inaugural year of having the Dungannon Super Pull Pull and Demolition Derby at the Graceland property," says co-chair Lyndon Johnston. "There's always going to be some mixed opinions, but the biggest problem is that the event has outgrown the venue. We happen to be sitting on 60 acres in Lucknow and we'll be using that to better serve the event."
In a good year, the event attracts around 5,000 people. Now with the huge property and 500 campsites available, growth is expected. Especially with two days of offerings, starting with the new Demolition Derby on Friday night, run by Impact Motor Sports. The derby will finish with a combine smash up, which Johnston says is pretty self-explanatory.

A shuttle service will run throughout town that weekend, so campers can get around and even attend sponsored swimming at the local pool.
Johnston says though the location has changed, the event is still organized by the same group, thus the name has stayed the same.
"There's a core group of just over 30 individuals, they do a great job of looking after sponsorship, they look after the track, they look after the pullers coming... Our Kinsemen club, we worked with them in the past and got back to them last year. We have a very good working relationship with this group. They've put on over 20 years of shows, they're a great group to work with."
