Drug investigation results in significant seizure

West Grey Police Service made a significant drug seizure as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

Police released information on March 30 regarding a traffic stop that was conducted recently in Wingham in relation to the investigation. Officers seized a prohibited knife, ammunition, and Canadian currency. Police also seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, and methamphetamine.

The value of the seized drugs is nearly $14,000, and value of the seized property is almost $1,800 and the Canadian currency seized was an amount nearing $2,800.

A 38-year-old from Wingham and a 42-year-old from Durham are now both facing numerous charges, including possession for the purpose of trafficking drugs. Both of the accused have been held pending bail hearings.
