United Way Perth Huron is looking for some new board members.
Executive Director Ryan Erb says they're recruiting up to three new board members.
“We're recruiting for up to three new board members and we're hopeful that one or two of them can come from Huron County. And specifically we are in need of a treasurer for our board coming into next year because of the timing and need of another volunteer that can't take it on," Erb explained. “We're looking for people who are engaged in the community, that care about the community, that come with some level of experience that can contribute to the United Way and our organization. So that can be a pretty wide variety of things. But we do want people who are ready to engage at the table and to offer their experience and expertise.”
Erb says they do want people who have the time to commit to the board and come to meetings ready to contribute. He says they want people who are passionate about their community and care about what's going on in their community and there are several people who meet that criteria.
