The City of Owen Sound is preparing for the re-construction of Alpha Street.
The upgrades to the two lane urban street will include improvements to the road surface and underground infrastructure while supporting active transportation initiatives.
Improvements will see another sidewalk added on the west side, while retaining the east sidewalk. The project could include a truck climbing lane, bike lanes, and an Active Transportation Lane.
People have a chance to comment on the plans at a public meeting at Owen Sound city hall on March 16, 2023, starting at 5:30 p.m.
