Man charged after police officers threatened

A Goderich resident faces charges after police allege he threatened officers.

OPP officers were called at about 8 a.m. the morning of Tuesday, January 24, 2023, about an threat incident on Montreal Street in Goderich.

Officers arrived to speak to the suspect, who they allege uttered threats to police. It's alleged the man resisted arrest, but was eventually handcuffed and then processed at Huron OPP detachment in Clinton.

While at the OPP detachment, police allege the suspect uttered further threats to the police officers that were processing him.

A 37-year-old Goderich man is charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm  and resisting arrest. He has a court appearance scheduled for February 13, 2023, at the Ontario Court of Justice - Goderich.
