The annual Guns and Hoses charity hockey game was a success this year.
On Sunday, January 29, local firefighters from Perth County faced members of the Perth County OPP in a faceoff on the ice to raise funds for Victim Services of Bruce Grey Perth. The game was held at 1:30 p.m. at the Perth East Rec Centre in Milverton. Nearly $1,700 in donations were raised to support Victim Services of Bruce Grey Perth in the work they do locally. The Salvation Army Food Bank also came away as winners, as a significant amount of non-perishable food items were collected, as well.
The game was a fun affair for fans in attendance, as the OPP officers triumphed with a 4-2 victory.
