Chief Chris Knoll says the incident happened on Sunday, January 8.
Over $2,000 worth of electric toothbrushes was taken from an area pharmacy.
Chief Knoll noted he has contacted other police departments that have recently experienced a similar type of theft.
Anyone with information on this theft is asked to contact Hanover Police, or Crime Stoppers.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
