Antisemitic vandalism found in local library

Police are investigating after antisemitic vandalism was discovered in the bathroom of a local library branch.

Wellington County OPP were contacted after staff discovered antisemitic messages and other damage done inside the washroom of the Mount Forest Library. Wellington County Warden and Wellington North Mayor Andy Lennox released a statement regarding the antisemitic sentiments that were found.

“The County of Wellington condemns all acts of antisemitism and all forms of hatred, discrimination and bias in our community,” said Warden Lennox. “Any act of antisemitism cannot, and will not, be tolerated.”
