Municipality of South Bruce warns of potential flooding

Residents of Mildmay are being warned to stay away from waterways by the municipality due to the risk of flooding.

"There is a high potential risk of flooding which could create hazardous conditions near waterways," a statement released just after 7 p.m. on Sunday said.

The banks of Otter Creek have been deemed particularly dangerous due to the potential failure of the dam on Adam Street. People are also being asked to avoid parks and trails for the time being.

The Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority is monitoring the situation alongside the municipality. Updates will be placed on the Municipality’s web site and social media platforms.
