Huron County OPP make arrest after $100,000 stolen in B&E

An arrest has been made after over $100,000 in cash was stolen during a break and enter in Goderich. 

Huron County OPP, along with the Huron-Perth Community Street Crimes Unit, West Region Emergency Response Team, and OPP Regional Support Team have arrested one individual connected to the residential break and enter. 

The incident took place overnight between November 11 to 12. 

The investigation is ongoing, however a 41-year-old male from Goderich has been arrested and is facing multiple charges. These include: 

-      Possession of Proceeds Obtained by Crime - two counts

-      Possession of Property Obtained by Crime - two counts

-      Breach of Probation - two counts

The accused remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

"Investigators believe that the accused did not act alone in this crime and that other members of the community still have information that should be brought forward to aid in the investigation." police said.
