The emergency department at the hospital in Chesley is closed Thursday.
In a statement released Thursday morning, the South Bruce Grey Health Centre says all efforts to find staffing were undertaken without success.
Ambulances will instead be taking patients to the nearest open emergency department. Those are in Hanover, Durham, Southampton, Markdale, Owen Sound, Kincardine, Mount Forest, and Palmerston.
People with medial emergencies should call 911 or go to the closest open emergency department. Those with non-urgent needs can get medical advice through 811.
The emergency department in Chesley will reopen Friday at 7 a.m.
