Huron County's Museum & Historic Gaol is looking for a volunteer to sit on their Collections Committee.
“We meet quarterly and they're presented with what we've brought into the collection, items that we have done research from our collection that maybe are coming up for deaccessioning and then what exhibits and planning that we have up coming that we can use various artifacts for,” explained Senior Curator Elizabeth French Gibson.
French Gibson says they're looking for people who are interested in the heritage and the history of Huron County.
“They don't have to have experience in museum, we can certainly help with that kind of training," she said. "This is more for people who are interested in what kind of things the museum is collecting and what direction we're taking in the future.”
