The Listowel Wingham Hospitals Alliance has announced a temporary closure of an Emergency Department.
The Wingham and District Hospital ED will close Friday, August 26th, at 5pm, and reopen Saturday, August 27th, at 7am. It will then close again at 5pm, and resume their regular hours of operation at 7am Sunday, August 28th.
Officials say this is a temporary measure due to ongoing staff shortages in the healthcare sector.
If you are in need of urgent care, paramedics will take you to the nearest open emergency department.
