The Hanover and District Hospital is updating visiting hours and reinstating certain restrictions in light of the seventh COVID-19 wave.
In a release, the hospital says as of August 2nd, visiting hours will change to 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. The Acute Care Unit will allow a maximum of four designated visitors, and two of those visitors will be permitted to visit the bedside at one time. The Emergency Department, Surgical Services, Outpatient Clinics/Appointments will allow for one support person with each patient. The Emergency Department will allow children to be accompanied by two support persons, while adults will continue to be permitted one support person. The Family Centred Birthing Unit will allow for one support person with limited exit/entry access.
Exceptional circumstances will be managed on a case-by-case basis for palliative patients. Hanover and District Hospital will continue requiring masks to be worn throughout the facility at all times.
