Municipality announces new CAO

Wellington North has announced their new CAO.

In a release, the municipality shares that Brooke Lambert will become the new CAO as of September 6th this year. Brooke is from Waterloo and is relocating to Wellington North to take up the position. She has over 18 years of municipal experience at both the local and regional level. The release states that Lambert's most recent role at the City of Cambridge was the Director of Corporate Strategy, and she provided leadership on key strategic initiatives as well the development of a comprehensive corporate performance management framework that brought together strategy, business planning, reporting and measurement of key deliverables.

Lambert is a Registered Professional Planner and also has both a Masters of Applied Environmental Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Waterloo.

"We are delighted to announce that Brooke will be joining our team in early September," says Mayor Andy Lennox.

“I am both thrilled and honoured to have been chosen by Council to join this amazing team of dedicated staff, who are committed to providing the highest level of service to this community. As CAO, I look forward to helping Wellington North achieve its vision for the future, with all of the exciting opportunities that can bring. I also want to thank everyone for the warm welcome and support my family has already experienced. We are truly grateful," shares Lambert.

Youth volunteers practice coastal conservation

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
