At least two Members of Parliament in Midwestern Ontario will vote no after the House of Commons discusses the Federal Government's use of the Emergencies Act this evening.
Perth-Wellington MP John Nater rose in the House Monday morning to confirm his own no vote, saying "When the government places limits on the rights, privileges and freedoms of Canadians, it is the government, and the government alone, that must justify it. It is the government that must show to Canadians that the limitations are reasonable, and indeed, the Emergencies Act itself requires it."

Meanwhile, Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MP Alex Ruff confirmed to CKNX that he, too, will vote no.
Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb has not returned a request for comment on this story, but was scheduled to rise to speak in the House on Monday afternoon.
The House is expected to vote on the Emergency Act at approximately 8:00 p.m. Monday.
