Members of the Huron OPP and the Central Huron Fire Department were called to the scene of a house fire just east of Clinton late Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was on a section of Highway 8 between Wildlife Line and Front Road, which was closed just after 4 p.m.
The road remained closed until just before 1 a.m. Wednesday as an investigation was started.
No details of the investigation have been released at this time but Highway 8 between Wildlife Line and Front Road was reopened at 12:48 a.m.
