The Owen Sound Police Service (OSPS) and Eastside Snowmobile Club spent several hours in Harrison Park on Saturday.
Snowmobilers were stopped by the R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) event where the trail crosses into the south end of the park.
"Riders were not only checked by police for sobriety, but also that they had proper documentation and a valid trail permit under the Provincial Motorized Snow Vehicles Act," said the OSPS.
Eastside Snowmobile Club officials were present to remind riders to slow down as they enter the park as the multi-use trail is shared with hikers and other park users.
"During the R.I.D.E. officers were pleased to see 100% compliance from all 52 snowmobilers who came through the spot check," police said.
