Bruce County says the Brant Tract, located northwest of Walkerton, will be closing shortly for forest harvesting operations.
A release says contractor Moggie Valley will harvest timber in the area for six weeks beginning on February 7th.
The timber is being cleared as a part of the County's Forest Management plan, which will improve forest health.
During the harvesting period, the entire property, including the trail network, will be closed to the public.
The property is expected to re-open in the spring after all material has been removed, and any necessary infrastructure repairs have taken place.
