A major structure fire is being contained by crews just outside of Mitchell.
Crews are battling a morning structure fire on a rural property on West Perth Line 39 off of Highway 23, just outside of Mitchell after a call came in just after 7 a.m., this morning. Firefighters from Milverton, Monkton, Atwood, Listowel, Sebringville and Seaforth are assisting the West Perth Fire Department. Police are also on-scene. Drivers should avoid the area. West Perth Fire Chief Bill Hunter confirmed to CKNX that no one was injured as a result of the blaze.
