Grey Bruce OPP have confirmed one person died in a recent fire in the Municipality of Meaford.
On November 27th at 10:50 p.m., officers alongside Grey County EMS, the Inter Township Fire Department and the Chatsworth Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire on the 10th concession in the Municipality of Meaford. One person was removed from the residence, and they were pronounced deceased at the scene. They have been identified as 81-year-old Eldon Lynk from the Municipality of Meaford.
Police have confirmed the investigation is continuing with the assistance of the OPP Forensic Identification Services, in partnership with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario and the Ontario Fire Marshal.
