Wellington County OPP have revealed the identity of the victim of a fatal crash near Mount Forest.
On December 6th at 6:55 a.m., officers responded alongside Wellington North and Centre Wellington Fire and Guelph Wellington Paramedic Services to a single vehicle crash on Side Road 3 West in Wellington North Township. Investigation determined an SUV hit the guardrail and then left the roadway before becoming partially submerged in a body of water. The vehicle was removed from the water and the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver has been identified as 22-year-old Meagan Janelle Byers of Mount Forest.
