The Huron County OPP are still investigating a recent fail-to-remain collision involving a pedestrian.
On September 5th at 9:16 p.m., officers alongside Wellington County EMS responded to a crash located at the intersection of Harriston Road and Toll Gate Line east of Gorrie.
Once crews arrived they attended to an injured pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle.
The 62-year-old pedestrian from Howick was taken to a local hospital and was later released with non-life threatening injuries.
An initial investigation found the pedestrian was walking eastbound on the side of Harriston Road when an eastbound vehicle collided with the pedestrian. The driver of the suspect vehicle failed to stop at the scene of the crash and took off at a high rate of speed.
Police believe the vehicle in question was either a 2008 to 2016 model Dodge Caravan or a Chrysler Town & Country minivan.
The suspect vehicle may still be missing a passenger side mirror. If you have any information about this crash contact Huron County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
