Police investigating serious assault at Sauble Beach

Grey-Bruce OPP are investigating what they're calling a "serious assault" that occurred recently at Sauble Beach.

On August 25th at 10 p.m., officers responded alongside Bruce County Paramedic Service to a reported stabbing on Main Street in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula. One person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police arrested and charged a 19-year-old Etobicoke native with Aggravated Assault.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for August 26th at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound. Police continue to investigate the incident. If anyone has any information or witnessed the incident, contact Grey-Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
