Perth County OPP have laid charges following a domestic incident in West Perth.
On August 7th shortly after 8:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault in the area of Trafalgar Street in Mitchell. Officers arrived and began an investigation, which resulted in a 43-year-old individual being charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm - Choke, Suffocate, or Strangle. The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.
