OPP track down speeders, busy with crashes over long weekend

Huron County OPP were tracking down speeders over the Civic Holiday weekend.

A total of 57 drivers were charged with speeding including two drivers charged with stunt driving and an impaired driving charge.

Huron County OPP also investigated a half-dozen crashes.

Two of the crashes involved serious injuries and two involved minor injuries.

The South Bruce OPP laid 46 charges during a initiative through the Civic Holiday.

The campaign focused on Impaired Driving, Distracted Driving, Aggressive Driving and Seatbelts.

There were no impaired driving charges laid during the July 30 to August 2 campaign but three drivers were issued three day license suspensions.

There were 36 speeding charges and police investigated four collisions, one involving life threatening injuries.
