A man wanted in connection with a number of charges was taken into custody without incident in Listowel Wednesday night.
Huron County OPP had released information earlier in the day about Shawn Douglas Elliott. Police say a tip to Perth County OPP led them to a residence in Listowel.
The 45-year-old Huron County resident faces a number of charges including:
-Sexual Assault - 3 Counts -Assault - 2 Counts -Sexual Assault With a Weapon -Assault With a Weapon -Break and Enter, Commit Indictable Offence -Mischief Under $5,000 -Fail to Comply with Probation Order - 6 Counts
The charges have yet to be proven in court.
