Bruce Power to conduct Public Alert Siren Testing

Bruce Power will be conducting a test of its Public Alert Siren system on July 15th.

Kincardine owns, operates and maintains 9 public alert sirens within 3 kilometres of the Bruce Power facility. The sirens are meant to alert the public of an incident at the Bruce Power site. The test is to confirm the activation and the function of the Public Alerting Sirens. They are activated by the Municipality of Kincardine on behalf of Bruce Power and the Province of Ontario. The sirens are a crucial part of emergency preparedness in the area.

The test will run from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on the morning of July 15th.
