Owen Sound man charged for failing to isolate

An Owen Sound man is charged for failing to isolate after testing positive for COVID-19.

In a release Owen Sound Police accuse the 26-year-old of "repeatedly and blatantly disregarding his order to isolate."

Police found the man outside his home even though the Grey Bruce Health Unit had instructed him to quarantine earlier in the week.

The man is now charged with failing to comply with a section 22 order under the Health Protection and Promotion act. The fine is $880.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit recorded 15 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, eight in Owen Sound.
