Perth County has launched another new initiative to try and help support and promote local businesses that have struggled during the worst of the pandemic.
The new Snapshot Business Support Program is now accepting applications from businesses, and Perth County Tourism Officer, Ashley Brockelbank, says they're hoping this new initiative will help businesses market themselves online at no cost to them.
"The program that you'll be applying for is to receive a professional photography package. So we've hired a handful of local photographers who are waiting for businesses to apply."
Brockelbank says having an online presence is huge for businesses, and the pandemic has really shown that, so they wanted to help enhance local businesses online displays with high end photo packs.
"They'll get a handful of photos including some staff headshots, exterior and interior photos, product shots, whatever it is that they need for their business, they'll get that in their professional photography package."
The deadline to apply for the Snapshot Business Support Program is June 7th, and then the county will review all applications for eligibility. They'll then assign photographers to the eligible businesses. To apply go to perthcounty.ca/SnapshotProgram.
