Vaccine clinics continue

Doses of COVID-19 vaccines continue to administered through the region.

In Grey and Bruce, over 24,700 doses have been administered. This week, those turning or are 75-plus this year and adult chronic home care recipients are receiving doses while residents in long-term care and retirement homes are getting second doses. Eligibility for the vaccine will be expanding soon and will be announced by public health including those 60 to 74 in five year increments.

In Huron and Perth, appointments were being taken over the weekend for those eligible under Phase 1 of the vaccination plan and that includes those 70 and older.

In Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph, over 42,000 doses of the vaccine have been administered. The goal is to vaccinate 75% of the population and according to public health the number is 13.8% as of Friday.
