Serious crash sends one person to hospital

A serious crash in West Perth sent one person to hospital with serious injuries.

On March 22nd just after 10 a.m., Perth County OPP officers alongside the West Perth Fire Department and Perth County Paramedic Services responded to a two vehicle collision on Line 44, in the Municipality of West Perth. The initial investigation concluded that a pick-up truck that was going eastbound on Line 44 crossed the centre line and hit a tow-truck that was going westbound. The pick-up went down into the ditch and came to finally rest in a field. The driver of the pick-up was taken to local hospital with serious injuries, while the tow-truck driver was not hurt.

The cause of the collision is still being investigated. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has any information should contact Perth County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
