Goderich to go back to phone and internet voting in next municipal election

Mayor, John Grace, says Goderich will be using telephones and the internet for voting in the next municipal election.

Grace says council passed a motion to approve using phones and the internet at their last council meeting. Grace says the alternative says worked very well in the last municipal election.

"Alternative voting will be exactly the way it was at the last election, something a little different than what we're used to over history, but it'll be nothing different than the last election that we had."

Grace says several other municipalities have gone this route, too. But he adds, it worked well in the last election, so there's no reason not to vote that way again.
