Health unit releases reminder that green doesn't mean go

The Medical Officer of Health for Grey and Bruce says while the region is in the Green - Prevent level, there are still limits on social activity.

That includes 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors for organized public events and social gatherings. Another guideline is wearing a mask indoors when a two metre distance can't be maintained with someone outside of your household.

The health unit is still encouraging residents stay home as much as possible, only travel for essential reasons and limit close contacts to those in your household.

The health unit also says current statistics indicate that schools are safe and controlled environments.

The Grey-Bruce region is only one of three areas in the green level, the other two are in eastern Ontario.

Huron-Perth is under Yellow-Protect and Wellington-Guelph-Dufferin is in Red-Control.

Active COVID-19 cases in the region include 21 in Huron and Perth, 13 in Grey and Bruce and 18 in Wellington County.
