Water report in Minto is clean

The annual report on drinking water in Minto gave top marks of 100% to water systems in Palmerston, Harriston and Clifford.

The municipal water system at the Minto Pines Subdivision got 96%.

No flows at water wells exceeded capacity.

There were no exceedances for organic, inorganic, lead or other chemicals in any of the four water systems.

Water from two wells in Clifford continue to be sampled regularly for arsenic because they are running a little high but still at an acceptable concentration.

Youth volunteers practice coastal conservation

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
