Police investigating fail to remain collision involving cyclist

The Grey-Bruce OPP are investigating a recent fail to remain collision involving a cyclist.

On March 10th at 9:03 p.m., police responded to a fail to remain collision between a car and a cyclist on Rouse Road, near Bruce Road 9, in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula. The cyclist was riding down Rouse Road when they were hit by the car. The car did not stop to offer assistance or wait for police and instead fled the area, and police have not located the vehicle. The car should have damage to the right front corner, as pieces of a fender, undercarriage and lights were found at the scene. A headlight assembly was also located and should be attached to a white 2017-2018 Hyundai Elantra.

The cyclist was airlifted to a local hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating the vehicle, and anyone who has any information should contact the Grey-Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
