Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board to offer free PSW program training

The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board will be offering a free PSW training program this year.

Following the recent provincial announcement from Premier Doug Ford regarding an expansion of the PSW training and recruitment program, which is in response to a shortage of Personal Support Workers, the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board is partnering with Fanshawe College to offer a college course free of charge to help train new PSWs.

The course will run from March 23rd until June 22nd on Tuesdays from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. The course will be delivered online. To qualify you must be an adult learner and be within 4 credits of graduating. For more information and to apply, email Aideen Moss, the Principal of Blessed Carlo Acutis Continuing Education School at [email protected] or Elaine DeCorte, the Executive Assistant to the Director of Education at [email protected].
