Stratford General Hospital launch 50/50 draw fundraiser

The Stratford General Hospital Foundation has launched a new fundraiser.

Foundation Executive Director, Andrea Page, says because of the pandemic, it's not safe to fundraise money they way they normally do, but pandemic or not, the hospital still needs equipment to look after patients. Page says, in this case, they're hoping raise money for new beds. She points out when you're in the hospital, the bed is your home.

"When you're in hospital, that's your home, that's where you are, in your bed. And the new beds are absolutely spectacular, it makes a big difference in regards to care, in regards to preventing bed sores, in regards to saving the backs of our nurses."

Page explains the new fundraiser is a 50/50 draw.

"It's stratfordhospital5050.com, choose how many tickets you wish to purchase, you hit the button, you use your credit card and you get your tickets emailed to you. So it's all online and it's all contact-less and it has an impact on our hospital."

Page says tickets went on sale Monday, February 1st and the launch sponsor is RE/MAX a-b Realty and they're starting the guaranteed February win at three-thousand dollars.
