The Huron Shores Area Transit Service will be starting up a week from today.
Co-Chair, Glen Baillie, says it's been a long and very complicated process but they'll be on the road starting December 14.
"Huron Shores Area Transit's going to start twice a day from Grand Bend to London, and twice a day from Grand Bend to Sarnia. And also London to Grand Bend and Sarnia to Grand Bend, with a loop,” said Baillie.
Routes will go into the southern end of Huron County and the Bayfield bus will go back and forth from Bayfield to Grand Bend two days a week.
“We've got back and forth into Grand Bend two days a week and that links into the London and Sarnia routes. So it's Wednesday and Friday, departing Bayfield," added Baillie.
The service will be free for the first month to give the organization some time to adjust.
Huron Shores Area Transit will provide service to Bluewater, Kettle & Stony Point First Nation, Lambton Shores, North Middlesex and South Huron.
Complete information on their routes and schedules can be found on the Huron Shores Area Transit website.
