The Healthy Lake Huron – Clean Water, Clean Beaches Partnership has launched an information campaign encouraging everyone from Sarnia to Tobermory to be a ‘piece of the puzzle’ in creating a healthy Lake Huron from land to lake.
Ausable Bayfield Communications Specialist, Tim Cumming, explains they've created more than a hundred social media posts.
“They've done more than a hundred social media posts, using Healthy Lake Huron, Land to the Lake and these posts, Piece of the Puzzle and these posts engage industries and individuals and communities in ways that they can help to protect Lake Huron.”
They point out everyone anywhere near the shoreline has a connection to lake.
“We all fit in to one of the categories, whether it's soil or water, food, beach, nature, community. We all fit in somewhere there and we can all be a part of that larger picture or that puzzle.”
Cumming points out there are still challenges along the shoreline, but there are also a lot of success stories. More information about the campaign can be found at healthylakehuron.ca.
