The Grey Bruce Health Unit is reporting six new cases of COVID-19 as of yesterday, two in South Bruce, two in Saugeen Shores and one each in Hanover, Kincardine and Grey Highlands.
There are now 32 active cases of the novel coronavirus in the two counties and the cumulative total has reached another milestone, 400 total cases since the pandemic began.
There are also five probable cases and 199 high risk contacts of the confirmed cases the Grey Bruce Health Unit is monitoring.
There are three people in hospital.
The Grey Bruce Health Unit also confirmed a case of COVID-19 associated with Walkerton District Community School in Walkerton over the weekend. Officials say there is no evidence the transmission took place at the school and there are no bus routes involved. They are not declaring an outbreak.
Those who had close contact with the case are being notified and if you are not notified you do not need to self-isolate.
Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health declared an outbreak at Wellington Terrace Long Term Care Home in Fergus.
On Wednesday, a staff member was tested for COVID-19 and on Saturday the home was notified the result came back inconclusive.
Eleven residents are now in isolation pending a second test and families of the residents are being notified.
